Christine Deputy

Christine Deputy was named executive vice president, human resources in June, 2015. Christine and her team support more than 70,000 employees at Nordstrom, overseeing recruitment and succession planning, learning and development, recognition and retention programs, and compensation and benefits.

Christine has an extensive track record leading human resources and talent management for a number of high-profile international brands. Prior to joining Nordstrom, Christine was group human resources & communications director for Aviva, a British multinational insurance company. Christine also served as director, human resources, Global Retail and Business Banking for Barclays; chief human resources officer for Dunkin’ Brands and from 1999 – 2009 Christine held a variety of leadership roles at Starbucks in the United States, Asia and Canada.

Christine has a B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University in Washington D.C.
