Technology & supply chain students

Ray Greenly was Vice President of Research and Member Services for Shop.org, the digital division of the National Retail Federation, before losing a year-long fight with cancer in the fall of 2005. The Ray Greenly Scholarship provides financial support to students pursuing a degree in fields most relevant to digital retail such as supply chain, IT, technology, engineering, computer science, operations management.

The Ray Greenly Scholarship Fund awards students across the country who have the creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and forward-thinking to create new ways to connect retail customers to brands and products. Recipients are ambitious, curious, adaptable and have the potential to impact the future of digital retail.

"Being a Ray Greenly Scholar validates my voice as a designer and entrepreneur as I transition from academia to industry, knowing that I have the skillset to make a difference in the retail industry."

- Eric Beaudette, Cornell University

"On top of serving the community, serving people in their everyday lives using technology can make a world of difference. There are always better and more innovative ways to use technology, and the Ray Greenly Scholarship gave me an outlet to do just that and find those alternatives."

- Jack Griffin, University of Michigan

The Ray Greenly Scholarship was established to provide financial support to college students pursuing a degree in any field relevant to digital retail. NRF Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Shop.org Vicki Cantrell and several Spring 2013 scholarship recipients discuss the program and the opportunities the scholarship fund provides for students on track to bring their fresh talent and innovative ideas to the retail industry.
