Virtual Fall Programs Supporter Guide

Students and recent graduates have the opportunity to join the NRF Foundation for free, virtual conversations with retail recruiters to learn about their companies, job opportunities, and interview processes. These panels feature multiple companies to give students the opportunity to learn about a variety of roles, company cultures and application processes as they explore careers in retail. Panels are open to all students, recent graduates, and educators.

Recruiter panels will be held daily between Sept. 21 – Oct. 1 at 5-6PM Eastern via zoom. Companies will only participate in one panel and each company will have one representative on the panel. Additional representatives from your company are welcome to join and help moderate questions in the chat. Your company will be slotted for a date by the NRF Foundation to ensure each panel has a variety of types of retailers. The NRF Foundation will share the recruiter chat schedule in August and if there are any issues with your selected recruiter chat date, please let Samantha LaManna (lamannas@nrf.com) know ASAP.

Panelists should be able to share key insights about your company’s internship programs and entry-level roles. Questions will focus on opportunities available, application process, career paths, intern program experience, etc. Questions will be shared with panelists ahead of time. There will be a 10-minute introduction, 30 minutes of moderated Q&A, and 20 minutes of open Q&A with the students. All recruiter chats will be recorded and posted on NRF Foundation website for students who weren’t able to attend.

Important: All panelists will need to sign and submit a speaker consent form.

Retail Recruiter Chats Social Media Toolkit

The Virtual Career Fair is an opportunity for students to meet with recruiters to learn about internships and full-time job opportunities. The Career Fair will take place on Monday, Oct. 5 from 10AM – 2PM Eastern on the Radancy platform. Below are some important details and more information will be sent directly to you closer to the event date, including how to set up your booth on Radancy:

• The booth owner and representatives (i.e. recruiters) information will not be copied over from last year. Please let us know who your booth owner will be in the requested form in the beginning of this webpage. Booth owners are responsible for adding in the recruiters who will be speaking with candidates in the booth, and for customizing the booth itself with text, videos, photos, job listings, etc.

  • Ira Golthi (golthii@nrf.com) will send information and resources in September on booth ownership and being a representative (recruiter) in the booth.

• Recruiters can see the length of the booth line(s) and the average wait time for students to speak to you.

• Recruiters who are added to the booth can use the scheduled chat feature to invite career fair registrants to visit the booth at a specific time. This feature can be used to target specific candidates that you want to be sure to speak with.

• Radancy has live chat support functionality for recruiters during events. If you have any technical issues or questions, you can connect directly with a Radancy representative using their live chat feature on the platform.

The Retail Education and Talent Exchange is a virtual event designed to foster meaningful connections between retail recruiters and university educators. By sharing insights and building partnerships, participants work together to support students as they explore career opportunities and pathways in the retail industry.

The event will be held on September 17th from 4:00PM – 5:00PM Eastern, and is for RCCs and Gold sponsors. If your sponsorship level includes this event, we will send you more information directly on how to register.

We will be directing students to visit the Job Opportunities page during all the fall events. Please share your job links in the Sponsorship Deliverables form linked earlier on this page.

The Job Opportunities page provides more details about internships and entry level job opportunities you are recruiting for, provides a more in-depth perspective of your company, as well as a link to your career page.

You can provide individual job links or a link to your generic jobs page. If you’re providing a generic link then provide a list of the specific roles you’re hiring for so we can list them on the website to ensure students can easily search for the opportunities available. The website can be updated by the NRF Foundation at any time and it is important for us to keep this page as accurate as possible based on what you have available, so please let Samantha LaManna (lamannas@nrf.com) if you have any updates to your jobs over the course of the events. If you don't have links that are live yet, please still share the titles of opportunities that we can list under "Coming Soon".
