Our five honorees embody their brand’s values, inspire their teams, and make meaningful impacts on their customers and communities.
Retail impacts everyone, everywhere, every day. For Savannah Clark, that impact turned an unexpected college job into the beginning of a lasting retail career. She was drawn to the lifestyle and community that Tractor Supply Company embodies and supports, and she now serves as a store leader in Winder, Georgia.
Growing up, Savannah and her family had horses, cows, and many other farm animals. At the time, she was caring for an orphan foal, and horses were only the beginning of her journey.
Like many of her friends and family members, she worked at the local Tractor Supply Company to support their farms and families through the employee discount. “I didn’t think I would be here 10 years later, but here I am,” she said. What began as a way to support herself while earning her associate’s degree became a career she hadn’t envisioned.
Tractor Supply kept supporting and encouraging Savannah through life’s changes. “And then, four stores and several positions later, here I am,” Savannah said. “I’m in it for the long haul now, but I would have never guessed it at the beginning.”
Savannah’s journey has come full circle. Today, she is the store leader at the same location where she was first hired in her local community. After spending time at several locations around the area, she returned to Winder, Georgia. “It felt right to go back to my local store,” she said. “That’s where my family shops, where everyone I know shops.”
Tractor Supply Company connects the team members with the customers and communities they serve. For Savannah, that connection is personal, and she sees the same values reflected in her life outside of work and in the store she leads today.
“I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have the “Life Out Here” lifestyle,” she said. “It’s community, it’s farms, it’s animals. Those things bring a lot of people together. You take your home lifestyle, and it literally reflects into Tractor Supply Company.”
That sense of community extends beyond the products on the shelves. Savannah points to Tractor Supply Company’s Neighbor's Club loyalty program as the company fosters relationships among customers and team members. “It is exactly that. It’s our Neighbor's Club,” she said. “They’re the people who have the farm next to you.”
Local events help strengthen those connections even further. From farmers markets to seasonal family activities, Tractor Supply Company stores often serve as gathering places where neighbors can support local businesses, spend time with family and connect with one another. Having grown up in the community she now serves, Savannah understands the importance of those relationships firsthand. She sees Tractor Supply Company as a place where neighbors can gather, lend a helping hand, and build a stronger community.
Savannah’s leadership style is rooted in experience. Having worked every role in the store from part-time team member to store manager, she believes in leading from alongside her team. “There’s not a job in the store that I’m not willing to do,” Savannah said. She stocks feed, cleans, and pitches in wherever needed, setting the tone for a hands-on culture.
The most rewarding part of the job, however, isn’t completing a task or hitting a goal. It’s watching people grow. Savannah recently heard from former team members who had moved to other states and earned positions of their own. Seeing their success reminded her of the impact leaders can have on those around them. “You don’t realize the effect you have sometimes until later on, but it really does affect everybody,” she said.
Savannah’s own career path is proof that you never know where an entry-level opportunity might lead. That’s why she encourages students and first-time job seekers to keep an open mind as they begin their careers.
“Don’t be afraid of the entry level positions.” Her story is a testament to you won’t know where you might end up, if you don’t take the leap and try it. “Tractor Supply hires at 18, so you can get your foot in the door right away. You don’t need any special experience—as long as you represent the Mission and Values, anyone can be part of it.”
As Savannah reflects on the opportunities, mentors, and experience that shaped her career, one thing remains clear: growth often starts with a single step. From supporting her family’s farm to leading the store where she got her start, her journey has come full circle. Today, she remains rooted in the community that helped shape both her life and career.
